What We NeedThe Manager will be instrumental in driving the NBA business, working on new strategies and analyzing opportunities for franchise expansion.
The ideal candidate will have proven credentials in defining strategies and driving growth in a fast-paced environment. They will combine rigorous market and performance analysis alongside formulation of creative short-to-long-term strategies, and a drive to see them executed. Experience in gaming is not expected, however the candidate should have a demonstrated interest in the industry.
Candidates must be bright, passionate, and hands-on – willing to dive into details and get things done, while not losing sight of the bigger picture. They will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Build financial models, using internal and external data, to forecast business growth, guide business decisions and estimate the size of growth opportunities
- Provide insights into NBA2K performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to a wide range of stakeholders, from global leadership to local marketing teams
- Partner with various teams (Marketing, Sales, Live Services, Product Development, Analytics) to identify and drive opportunities and initiatives
- Define pricing, promotional, and annual SKU strategies for the NBA2K franchise
What Will Make You a Great Fit
- 4-8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or on a strategy and/or analytics team, preferably in a fast-moving digital business (e.g. video games, e-commerce, subscription businesses, live-services and/or mobile in-app economies)
- Experience with both strategy development and operational execution, including end-to-end project management
- Advanced Excel modeling capabilities, including strong analytical, quantitative skills, and business judgment to model sophisticated scenarios and apply insights to strategy and planning
- Experience packaging and presenting your analysis, conclusions and recommendations to executives and senior leaders within your company
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus, otherwise a willingness to learn to develop, QA, and automate queries from scratch is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of clearly presenting findings
- Bachelor’s degree
- Video games industry experience and/or a strong passion and knowledge of console and PC games
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $145,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
