Are Cornell courses hard? ›

"The academics here are definitely challenging; however, the environment is not cutthroat. There really is a sense of camaraderie, even among some of the more traditionally competitive classes such as the sciences. Students really have a sense that 'we're all in this together,' and they act accordingly.

Cornell College is in the heart of Mount Vernon, Iowa, which got its name from George Washington's home in Virginia. Cornell University is located in Ithaca, New York, which was named for a Greek island. Winters in Ithaca are snowy and cold.

Education. AEP's educational programs offer a unique combination of engineering, mathematics and physics. EP is often considered as one of the hardest undergrad programs at Cornell, with strong emphasis on basic physics and mathematics.

It's true that Cornell, like many Ivy League universities, has rigorous academic programs that demand intellectual engagement and strong time management. However, keep in mind that many students successfully navigate and enjoy their time at these institutions.

Academics are always tough here at Cornell, as is to be expected from such a high-caliber school, but students can always find help in office hours, intimate discussion sections led by TAs, and study groups formed outside of class.
